Margherita Tortora serves as a Senior Lector II in Spanish and Latin American Studies at Yale University since 1993 and is the Founder and Director of the Latino and Iberian Film Festival at Yale. In addition, Margherita is the Executive Director of a grassroots film festival dedicated to showcasing creative works from Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Latino concerns in the U.S. Previously, Margherita held the position of Director for the New England Festival of Ibero American Cinema from February 2010 to November 2014. Margherita obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Smith College and a Master of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Language and Literatures from the University of Texas at Austin.
