Milad Shirani

Milad Shirani is a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University since September 2023, focusing on thermodynamic-based mathematical models for immuno-mechanics and immune cell recruitment. Previously, Milad held roles as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, from July 2016 to June 2023, where accomplishments included co-authoring a book on plate and shell theories and developing methods for modeling the mechanical behavior of fibrous metamaterials. Additional experience includes participation in an intensive Data Science program at Flatiron School, assisting in various research projects at Penn State University, and contributing to innovative research at Isfahan University of Technology. Milad holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology.
