Salil Munjal

Salil has more than 25 years of experience in Canada’s private and public markets. In addition to having led our investment in Bit Stew (acquired by GE Digital in 2016), he also leads our investments in Vizimax, good natured™ products (IPO), ThoughtWire and CharliAI.

Salil began his career as a corporate finance lawyer at Torys LLP. He also served as Managing Director of a leading mid-market private equity firm based in Toronto and New York. He was previously President and COO of Leitch Technology (TSX/NASDAQ), which he helped grow to to more than 1,200 people in six offices worldwide. Leitch went on to be acquired by Harris Communications (now Imagine) for $600 million.

Salil is Chair of the TMX-backed Advancing Innovation Roundtable, which delivered its landmark report of recommendations to increase access to growth capital for Canadian tech companies as they progress beyond the startup stage. Salil has also served on the boards of, and chaired, numerous public and private companies.
