Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor at YaliBio at Yali Bio

Peng Xu has extensive work experience in academia and research. Since April 2021, they have been serving as an Associate Professor at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Peng is also the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor at Yali Bio, a role they have held since April 2021 as well. Prior to these positions, they worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from August 2016 to August 2020. From July 2013 to August 2016, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from February 2011 to June 2013. Peng Xu started their career as a Teaching/Research Assistant at the State University of New York at Buffalo from September 2008 to December 2010. Peng then served as an Instructor/Lecturer at Dalian Polytechnic University from July 2006 to July 2008. Finally, they worked as a Research Assistant at Jiangnan University from 2003 to 2006.

Peng Xu began their education in 1999 at Jiangnan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering in 2003. Peng then went on to Jiangnan University for their Master of Science degree in Biochemical Engineering from 2003 to 2006. Afterwards, they attended the University at Buffalo from 2008 to 2010, although the degree obtained during this period is unspecified. Later, Peng Xu pursued their PhD in Biochemical Engineering/Metabolic Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2011 to 2013. Lastly, they completed their education by working as a Postdoc Associate in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2016.
