Yulin Lu has held several roles in the engineering and operations field since 2003. Yulin began their career as a Research Assistant at Purdue University in 2003. Yulin then moved to Mascoma Corp. in 2008 as a Process Dev Engineer. In 2011, they joined Solazyme, Inc. as a Sr. Process Dev Engineer. In 2015, they were appointed Director of Process Engineering at Hampton Creek. In 2018, they became a Senior Manager, Engineering & Operations at Impossible Foods. Most recently, in 2021, they became Co-Founder & CEO of Yali Bio.
Yulin Lu received a M.S. and Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from Purdue University. Yulin also attended Dartmouth College and Delft University of Technology, where they completed an Advanced Course in Microbial Physiology and Fermentation Technology. Additionally, Yulin Lu obtained a General Management certificate from Purdue University Krannert School of Management, with a focus on Applied Management Principles.
