Rafael Noriega

CEO at Yalutec

Rafael Noriega has a diverse work experience, starting as CEO of Yalutec in 2018. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as COO of Mundo Gourmet from 2011 to 2019. In 2016, they took on the role of Country Manager at Grupo Cobán. Rafael also worked as a consultant at EREA Consulting from 2015 to 2018. Rafael co-founded El Palco, an events company, in 2013 and was involved in operational processes, strategic planning, budget development, recruitment, and training until 2017. Additionally, they worked as an external consultant at Sintesis in 2016 and as the Chief Operating Officer at Metagro from 2013 to 2014. Lastly, Rafael led a team at I-DEV International in 2015, conducting investment analysis for clean cook stove business ideas.

Rafael Noriega's education history includes several degrees and areas of study. From 1997 to 2007, they attended Centro Escolar El Roble and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree. In 2008, they enrolled at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering, ultimately completing it in 2012. In 2011, during their time at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, Rafael also had a brief stint at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, specializing in Industrial Engineering. Continuing their educational journey, from 2014 to 2016, Rafael attended INCAE Business School and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus in Administration and Business Management. Additionally, in 2015 and 2016, they pursued a Master of Business Administration program at Koç Üniversitesi.
