Yanhan Yao has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They started their career in 2014 as the Founder of a music festival public platform, where they created and managed a public account providing comprehensive overviews of music festivals and concerts in China. In 2015, Yanhan worked as a Director at Beijing Media Network-BTV Life Channel, where they conducted interviews and created videos about traditional culture and delicacies. They also served as a Marketing Communication and Performance Planning Intern at Le Music, where they organized concerts, planned social events, and created advertising videos.
In 2016, Yanhan interned at GQ Magazine as a Marketing Communication Intern, where they were responsible for event planning and assistant photography. They also interned at Amazon as a Kindle Marketing Intern, where they handled data analysis and contract management.
In 2018, Yanhan had multiple internships. They worked as a Marketing Communication Intern/Director at BOSSCHICK Inc., providing visual content creation consultation and managing social media campaigns. They also interned at AIDS Healthcare Foundation as a Social Media Intern, creating and managing social media content and contributing to marketing campaigns. Additionally, they served as a Contract Director and Videographer at USC Games, overseeing contract work and directing videos.
From 2019 to 2020, Yanhan worked at Sinica Education as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist, where they introduced new marketing strategies, created social media content, and directed promotional videos. Currently, Yanhan is working as a Customer Engagement Specialist at Yami.
Yanhan Yao completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the Communication University of China, attending from 2013 to 2017. Later, they pursued a Master of Communication Management degree at the University of Southern California from 2017 to 2019.
