Michael Wells

Michael Wells has over two decades of experience in finance leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Executive General Manager - Finance at Yancoal Australia Ltd since December 2011, Michael has held multiple positions within the company, including General Manager - Finance and Acting Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Michael worked as Chief Financial Officer at Axiom Mining, Macquarie Office Trust, and Resource Pacific Holdings Limited. Earlier in the career, Michael was a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Michael holds a degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting from the University of Birmingham, completed between 1991 and 1994, and attended Queen Elizabeth's High School in Gainsborough from 1984 to 1991.
