Denis Sadovnikov

Denis Sadovnikov has extensive work experience in the legal and privacy field. Denis currently serves as the Head of Legal Privacy at Yango, where they manage privacy programs across the group and provides global privacy solutions. Denis also has experience in litigation with EU countries' authorities and successfully closed an urgency procedure case under the GDPR. Prior to their current role, Sadovnikov worked as a Senior Consultant at Data Privacy Office Europe and as a Data Protection Officer at Sberbank. Denis has also held positions as a Chief Legal Expert at the General Radio Frequency Center and as the Head of Legal and GR/Chief Legal Officer at the Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives. Additionally, Sadovnikov has experience in leadership positions and teaching roles at various organizations, including the Tula Regional Youth Search Centre and the All-Russian State University of Justice.

Denis Sadovnikov has a diverse education history. Denis obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of London from 2020 to 2024. Denis also pursued postgraduate studies in International Public Law at the Higher School of Economics from 2008 to 2011.

Denis Sadovnikov has a specialist degree in History and Archaeology from Tula State Pedagogical University named after Leo Tolstoy, which they completed from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they studied Law and Criminal Law at Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Specialist degree. Denis further enhanced their legal expertise with a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from Moscow State University of the Ministry of Interior from 2003 to 2008.

Additionally, Denis Sadovnikov has obtained multiple certifications throughout their career. These certifications include: Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from IAPP - the International Association of Privacy Professionals; Introduction to AI, Introduction to Cloud Technologies, Cybersecurity Culture in Organization, Cybersecurity Management, The art of Power Point, The Fundamental of Risk Management in the Banking field, Social Media Culture, Introduction in ARIS (Notation of Process Design), and Sberbank as a digital ecosystem, all from Sberbank; Artificial Intelligence and the Rule of Law from UNESCO; Data Privacy Manager under GDPR and Data Privacy Professional under GDPR from DPO LLC; International Private Law: Cross-border transactions and Personal Data Protection under GDPR from Higher School of Economics; and Introduction to the English Legal System from State University - Higher School of Economics.

Furthermore, Denis Sadovnikov attended the 2nd CIS Summer School on International Humanitarian Law organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC in 2006. In September 2021, they obtained the CIPP/E (Certified Informational Privacy Professional for Europe) certification from IAPP.
