The Yantu Project was founded in 2000. It promotes the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and Sino-Western understanding through outdoor, maritime related, human powered adventures.

The Yantu Project's adventures prove that Sino-Western cooperation is possible even under the most extreme conditions, as long as both sides are willing to trust in each other and have a common vision.

The Yantu Project supports the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by using the publics' interest in the adventures to spotlight the Goals and by actively fundraising for the Goals.
