Andrea Kyrala

Andrea Kyrala has extensive work experience in data engineering and analysis. Andrea is currently working as the Data Engineering Lead at Yardzen since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at GoDaddy as a Sr Data Engineer from December 2018 to July 2021. In this role, they innovated with using Pyspark for data processing and built end-to-end pipelines for Google Analytics data. Andrea also worked at Facebook as a Data Engineer in the Signal & Identity team from August 2018 to November 2018.

Before joining GoDaddy and Facebook, Andrea worked at Concur as a BI ETL Developer from April 2016 to July 2018. In this role, they evaluated new cloud platforms and software, created ERD and functional specs for Hadoop data marts, and built and automated ETLs using Git, Jenkins, and Shell scripting. Prior to Concur, they worked at RootMetrics as a Data & Product Quality Analyst & Manager from October 2011 to March 2016. Here, they demonstrated leadership and focus while maintaining data quality, integrity, and timely delivery of products.

Andrea's earlier work experience includes serving as a Sales Analyst III at The Regence Group from July 2008 to October 2011. In this role, they implemented external broker bonus payment programs, developed and maintained RDBMS databases, and conducted data cleansing and payment validation. Before that, they worked at United Behavioral Health as a Data Analysis Coordinator from 2000 to 2007. Andrea created and maintained RDBMS databases, delivered statistical analysis and reporting, and provided software training.

Andrea also has experience working as a Database Consultant at Uribe and Associates in October 2003, and as a Shift Manager at DuBois Conference Center from June 1999 to October 1999.

Andrea Kyrala obtained a Certificate in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from UW Professional & Continuing Education in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a BFA in Computer Animation and VFX from the Academy of Art University from 2002 to 2007. Andrea also holds a BA in Psychology/Music from Northern Arizona University, which they completed from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained several certifications, including "Python 3 Essential Training" from Lynda.com in January 2018, "Programming Foundations: Fundamentals" from Lynda.com in May 2017, and "Programming Foundations: Databases" from Lynda.com in November 2015.
