Shekar Varada

Shekar Varada has extensive experience in technology leadership, currently serving as Head Of Technology, Customer and Retail at Yarra Valley Water since September 2011. In this role, Shekar develops technology strategies aligned with business objectives, manages vendor relationships, oversees technology projects, and leads the Customer & Retail technology team. Previous positions include managerial roles in customer and billing services at Yarra Valley Water, as well as key technical roles at companies such as Transurban, Tranz-Com - Worldsoft, IBM, TXU / TRU Energy, and Intellisol International. Shekar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in IT from Swinburne University of Technology, a PhD in Material Sciences and Geology from Mysore University, and various other qualifications in systems development and geology.
