Joshua McCarthy

Joshua McCarthy is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in design and technical roles within the motorsport and automotive sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer at YASA since April 2019, Joshua previously held positions at Jaguar Land Rover as a CAD Engineer focusing on E Motors & Driveline and worked as a CAD Technician/Engine Technician at KSP Engines. Joshua started in the industry as a Technician at MS Race Engineering, where responsibilities included assembling Formula Fords and vehicle setup, and also contributed to a design project for a ram air system. Additional experience encompasses a contract role at Kustom Kit Gym Equipment, race preparation work with Thatchway Motorsport, and race support for the Birkett 6hr Relay Race with Racewell Motorsport. Joshua's academic background includes a BSc in Motorsport Technology and an FdEng in Motorsport Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, along with various diplomas in Engineering Technology from Bridgwater & Taunton College and PSC.
