Chris Royer has an extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Chris is currently employed at Yaskawa - Solectria Solar as the Mechanical Engineering Manager since February 2017. Prior to this, they worked at Oracle as the Principal Mechanical Engineer from 2004 to 2017. In this role, they provided mechanical design and project leadership for Oracle SPARC servers, working on cross-functional, global New Product Introduction (NPI) teams. Before joining Oracle, Chris founded their own consulting firm called Royer Consulting and Product Design in 2002 and served as a Mechanical Engineer/Founder until 2004. During this time, they worked with various clients such as Celestica, IBM, Libra Networks, and others, performing engineering, design, and drafting functions. Before that, Chris worked at Tiburon Networks as a Mechanical Engineer from 2000 to 2002, where they designed thermally efficient and electronically dense enclosures for networking equipment. Chris'swork experience also includes a role as a Mechanical Engineer at Nortel Networks from 1998 to 2000.

Chris Royer earned their Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Drafting CAD/CADD from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1987. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, which was completed by the year 2000.
