Ismail Sobhy

Ismail Sobhy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Ismail started their career as a Research Intern at DFKI GmbH in 2009. Ismail then worked as an Intern in the Speech and Sound Group at Sony Deutschland Gmbh from 2012 to 2013. Ismail then joined Nile University as a Research Assistant in the Center for Informatics Science from 2011 to 2014.

In 2014, Ismail worked as an R&D Software Engineer at Heurolabs. Ismail then joined Etisalat Misr in 2015 as a VAS-IN Service Creation Engineer, where they worked on various projects related to subscriber tracking, deep packet inspection, and mobile network optimization.

From 2016 to 2021, Ismail worked at QIQ Qcentris Intelligent Quality GmbH as a Senior Testing Automation Engineer. During this time, they participated in test automation projects for multiple organizations in Egypt and Germany, building and planning test automation approaches and deciding on suitable automation scenarios.

In 2021, Ismail joined Dell Technologies as a Senior Test Automation Engineer, with their role ending in 2022. Ismail then moved on to work at Kontist in 2022 as a Senior Test Automation Engineer, focusing on QA activities, test automation, and enhancing automation coverage for specific projects.

Currently, Ismail holds the position of Senior Test Automation Engineer at Yassir, starting in 2023.

Ismail Sobhy earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Digital Media Engineering and Technology from The German University in Cairo, which they attended from 2005 to 2010. Ismail continued their education at Nile University (NU) from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Communications and Information Technology.

Additionally, Ismail has obtained several certifications. Ismail completed Automation Engineer Level 1, Test Design Specialist Level 1 and Level 2, and Automation Specialist Level 1 and Level 2 programs at Tricentis in March and April of 2020. Ismail has also received certifications in ISTQB Agile and ISTQB Foundation from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board. Furthermore, they have certifications in Linear Q from Qcentris Gmbh and Tosca foundation from Tricentis, although the exact dates of these certifications are not provided.
