Luís Portela Afonso

Luís Portela Afonso has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Luís Portela most recently served as a Software Engineer Technical Lead at YData, starting in January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at YData from February 2020 to January 2022. Before joining YData, Luís worked at YouClap as a role titled in March 2017 to February 2020. Luís Portela also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Mindera from May 2015 to March 2018. In addition, Luís has worked as an iOS Developer at WIT-Software from March 2014 to April 2015. Prior to that, they served as an iOS Developer and System Administrator at MeshApp from July 2013 to March 2014. Before transitioning into the tech industry, Luís worked in administrative roles at AETTUA as a Secretary from November 2012 to December 2013. Luís Portela also held positions as 2nd Vogal and 5th Vogal at AETTUA from November 2011 to November 2012 and November 2010 to November 2011 respectively. Luís began their career in 1998 as a Computer and Network Manager at Brindigrafica and held that position until December 2013. Luís Portela also gained experience as a Scholarship recipient at Instituto de Telecomunicações from July 2012 to June 2013. Additionally, Luís volunteered at Jornadas FCCN 2013 from December 2012 to February 2013, where they assisted with organization, participant support, and documentation.

Luís Portela Afonso pursued their education in the field of computer and telematics engineering. Luís Portela began their journey in 1998 at Ancorensis, where they earned a technician degree in informatics. Building upon this foundation, Luís enrolled at the Universidade de Aveiro in 2008 to further their studies. From 2008 to 2012, they pursued a scientist degree followed by a master's degree from 2011 to 2013, both in computer and telematics engineering at the same university.
