The Youth Development Project (YDP) -Ghana is a youth development initiative that seeks to empower young people in marginalized communities through leadership training, vocational and digital skills development, financial literacy, and education support. We want to equip youth to lead local solutions like sanitation campaigns, community development initiatives and youth-led businesses while addressing poor socioeconomic development among the youth, poor education access, and social exclusion. We aligned the work with the SDGs and beyond and  we are driven by a vision to raise globally competitive youth who are locally engaged and leading sustainable development in their communities. We hope that through our work, 5 to 10 poor or very poor communities can move from their poverty state to a self sufficient and sustainable commercial community. We also want to be able to train over 20,000 idle  youth with easy to learn skills that they can use to earn income in the next 5 years.
