Isaac Buwembo

Isaac Buwembo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategy and operations, currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff at Year Up since November 2018. In addition to this role, Isaac is an Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts, teaching Social Ventures in the MBA program. Previously, Isaac co-founded and served as CEO of Civil Labs, successfully launching a frozen novelty brand and securing a distribution deal with Whole Foods Market. Notable contributions also include leadership in antiracist organizational development and co-founding a national Employee Resource Group for Black/African American professionals. Isaac has provided consultancy across various sectors, specializing in business strategy, market segmentation, and operational improvement. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Design Strategy from California College of the Arts and a BSc in Cell Biology and Genetics from The University of British Columbia.
