Daniel Karanja has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Daniel is currently working as a Product Analyst at Yellow Card App since July 2021. Prior to this, in 2021, they were a Technical Associate at Ilara Health from April to July.

From 2017 to 2020, Daniel worked at Uber, starting as an Operational Specialist from September 2017 to March 2019, and later becoming the Operations and Analytics Coordinator | Sub-Saharan Africa from April 2019 to May 2020. In this role, they led marketplace health, earnings, and process automation in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, providing insights and recommendations to support senior leadership decision making.

Before Uber, Daniel was the Lead Software Engineer at COHESU from September 2016 to September 2017. During their time there, they designed and built the organization's flagship product, a field operations android application. Daniel also led the integration of Simprints biometrics scanner into COHESU's field operations.

Daniel started their career as a Student Assistant at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2013 and worked as a Website Administrator at COHESU from January 2011 to January 2012.

Daniel Karanja completed their education in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at Nelson Mandela University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from 2012 to 2015. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc Hons) in Computer Science at the same university in 2016.
