Jennifer Coon has over 20 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Jennifer started their career in 1996 as a Software Developer at OLEEN HEALTHCARE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, INC., where they wrote programs and reports using Pick BASIC and Pick Databases to assist Healthcare analysts manage the plan and plan membership. In 1997, they moved to Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer, working with Ada and CMS-2 on UYK-44 computers to develop the Launch Control Computer Program (LCCP) and the Adaptation Generator (ADGEN) for the Vertical Launching System (VLS) for the DOD/Navy. In 1998, they joined FuGEN Technologies as a Software Developer, working on the team that designed and developed the Persistence Engine for a traffic ticket management system using HTML, Java, JSPs, J2EE, EJBs, XML and Informix Stored Procedures and Triggers. Jennifer also designed and developed the auditing subsystem for the traffic ticket management system, and developed reports for the traffic ticket management system using Jreport, and designed and administered an Object Relational Database for the traffic ticket management system using Informix IDS 9. In 2001, they joined Leidos as a Chief Software Engineer, and their current position is as a member of a successful Agile development team. In 2017, they moved to Tensley Consulting Inc. as a Software Engineer, and in 2019, they joined Yellow Duck Technologies, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer.
Jennifer Coon holds a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained in 2005, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained in 1996. Jennifer also has a number of certifications, including IBM Certified Advanced Application Developer - Lotus Notes and Domino 6 (obtained in 2006), IBM Certified Application Developer - Lotus Notes and Domino 6 (obtained in 2005), IBM Certified Associate Developer - Lotus Notes and Domino 6 (obtained in 2004), Sun Certified Java Programmer (obtained from Sun Microsystems in 2004), Certified Informix 4GL Developer (obtained in 1999), Certified Informix Database Specialist (obtained in 1999), and PMP (obtained from PMI in 2010).
