Rachel Connors has over 10 years of work experience, beginning in 2005 with an internship in the City of Gainesville's Marketing & Communications department. Rachel then had an internship in Premier Productions' Public Relations department and an internship in Shands Healthcare System's Development department in 2006. In 2007, they became Manager of Integrated Marketing Communications at Eos Dental Technology, Inc. and in 2008, they began working as a Marketing & Communications Consultant for Girl About Town Communications. In 2014, they were a Fellow at The Unreasonable Institute and in 2017, they were part of the 2017 GSBI Accelerator Cohort at the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship, Santa Clara University. Rachel has also been the Chief Enthusiasm Officer and Co-Founder of Yellow Leaf Hammocks since 2011.

Rachel Connors attended the University of Florida from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a B.A. / B.S. in Public Relations & Political Science.
