Shelton Waggener

Shelton Waggener is president and founder of The CIO Perspective, Inc, a collaborative consulting firm based in the Silicon Valley specializing in supporting innovation and transformation for public and private organizations. A visionary technology leader with a long track record of advancing research, scholarship, and support for companies use of advanced technologies, he currently serves on the boards of several innovate startup companies working in pedagogy for the higher education community, as well as in process automation using machine learning and GIS and spatial mapping tools. Previously Waggener spend five years Senior Vice President of Internet2, the US national research and education network. A recognized national leader in Cloud Services, Identity, Access, Security and Trust frameworks, prior to joining Internet2 Waggener served as Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer at the University of California, Berkeley where he also served as Chair of the University of California CIO Leadership Council.
