Jonathan Chu

Jonathan Chu is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing infrastructure, standards, and practices at Yelp since May 2013, focusing on core services, release engineering, and enhancing developer workflows. Prior to this role, Jonathan was a PhD student at UCLA where research included Delay Tolerant Networks and Named Data Networking. Jonathan also has a background in education as a graduate teaching assistant and has contributed to several institutions including Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In addition to technical roles, Jonathan held leadership positions in academic settings, such as Lead Software Architect at Berkeley Residential and Student Services Program. Jonathan earned a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and pursued a PhD track in Computer Science at UCLA.
