Robin Balaga

Robin Balaga is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and backend development. Currently serving as a Staff Backend Engineer at Slack since September 2016, Robin leads the Enterprise Admin Teams in creating features for large-scale Slack organizations, focusing on projects such as roles and permission systems, international data residency, and billing. Prior to this role, Robin worked at Yelp from July 2013, initially in the internationalization team and later on the Biz Monetization Team, where responsibilities included backend Python development, full-stack development for business transactions, and infrastructure for data ingestion. During an internship at JPMorgan Chase in 2012, Robin contributed to a web application project involving full-stack development. Robin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, earned in 2013.
