Harshan Liyanage

Harshan Liyanage has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Harshan started their career as a Framework Developer at Designsoft, where they focused on enhancing the capabilities of the MenSitpi ERP framework. Harshan then co-founded VonMARC, a team company, where they developed a Cheque printing software and an image forgery detection tool. Harshan then joined the University of Colombo School of Computing as a Research Student, where they developed a Semantic-based Memory sharing model for Xen Hypervisor.

After completing their studies, they worked as a Software Engineer / Mobile App Engineer at London School of Marketing, where they were responsible for designing, developing, and testing multi-platform mobile apps. Harshan also played a key role in the backend design and development of an in-house Content Management System.

Harshan then joined WSO2, initially as a Software Engineer, later progressing to Senior Software Engineer and Associate Technical Lead roles. Harshan was involved in product research and development, bug fixes, testing, and mentoring junior members. Harshan also served as a Technical Lead at MyBudget, where they provided leadership in technical aspects of projects.

Most recently, Harshan joined Yenlo as an Integration Consultant, specializing in open-source and Java-based middleware solutions. Harshan is responsible for delivering implementation services, software development services, training, and certification programs, as well as providing support for WSO2 products.

Throughout their career, Harshan has gained expertise in various technologies, including Java, C, Xen Hypervisor, Linux Kernel, and hybrid mobile app development with PhoneGap.

Harshan Liyanage completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Colombo from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including WSO2 Certified API Manager Developer - V4, WSO2 Certified Enterprise Integrator 6 Developer - ESB Profile, WSO2 Certified Enterprise Integrator Developer - V7 - Micro Integrator, WSO2 Certified Identity Server Developer - V5, and WSO2 Certified API Manager Developer - V3 from WSO2. Harshan has also earned the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 4 Programmer certification from Oracle.
