Rich Echeita

Rich Echeita has extensive work experience in the field of solutions architecture and engineering. Rich most recently served as the Lead Solutions Architect at YBVR, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at MediaKind Global from 2018 to 2020 as a Senior Solutions Architect, where they provided customer solutions and support for Mediakind deployments, including technical project management, OTT/IPTV design and implementation, satellite ground station design and implementation, and technical auditing. Clients they worked with included Charter, Vodafone, AT&T, CBS, and Claro.

From 2013 to 2018, Rich Echeita worked at Ericsson Broadcast and Media Services, COE Solutions as a Senior Solutions Architect. Rich delivered customer solutions in various systems including OTT, broadcast, DBS, cable, FTTH, and Telco. Some key clients included AT&T, PBS, CBS, NBC, Claro, Televisa, and Telefonica.

Before that, they held the position of Director of Professional Services, The Americas at Envivio from 2009 to 2013. During their time there, they provided both technical and managerial leadership for the Professional Services and Customer Services group, overseeing the transition of the company to a leader in the OTT delivery of video/audio services.

From 2001 to 2008, Rich Echeita served as the Director of Network Engineering at ATCi, as well as the CTO at Skyway Connect, a startup company. Rich led technical activities involving video networks, including design and project management. Additionally, they developed network design, budget, and timelines for Skyway Connect, working with the CFO and CEO.

Prior to this, they worked at World Wide Packets from 2000 to 2004 as a Sr. Video Architect, leading the City of Provo FTTH deployment. Rich developed network designs, schedules, and traffic flows for converged video, voice, and data services on a citywide "fiber to the home" network.

Before that, Rich Echeita served as a Systems Architect EMEA at Divicom from 1996 to 2000. Rich designed and deployed over 20 digital broadband systems involving terrestrial, broadcast, and satellite delivery formats. Rich worked with customers such as NTL, Bell South, Ono, Telephonica, and RCN.

Early in their career, from 1992 to 1996, they worked as a Sr. Systems Engineer at DirecTV.

Overall, Rich Echeita has a wealth of experience in solutions architecture and engineering, with a focus on customer solutions, technical project management, and design and implementation of various video and audio delivery systems.

Rich Echeita obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a specialization in Control Systems from the University of Nevada, Reno. Rich completed their degree from 1980 to 1985.
