Daniel Rynhold

Dean, Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University

Daniel Rynhold, Professor of Jewish Philosophy, joined Revel in August 2007 having arrived in the US from London, England. Educated at the universities of Cambridge and London, Dr. Rynhold had previously been a Professor of Judaism in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at King’s College London, a position he had held since 2001. He was also the Shoshana Shier Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto in the department of Philosophy and the Center for Jewish Studies during 2020.

He joined the administrative team in September 2011 as Coordinator of the Ph.D. program in reaction to the program’s exponential expansion and also served as the Director of the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program at Yeshiva College between 2018-2020.

In July 2020, Dr. Rynhold was appointed as the Dean of Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies.
