Robert Throop

Robert Throop has a diverse and extensive work experience in various companies. Robert started their career as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Nortel Networks in 1998 and then worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at C-MAC MicroTechnology from 1999 to 2001. Robert joined Solectron Corporation in 2002 as an Engineering Program Manager and later moved to HP in 2004, where they worked as an Engineering Program Manager until 2005. Throop then joined Oakley in 2005 and held multiple roles including Electronics Engineering Program Manager, Optics Product Line Manager, ISD Category Director, Category Director Goggles & Optics Accessories, and Category Director Men's Sunglasses. Robert left Oakley in 2016 to join YETI as the Director of Product Management, where they currently work.

From 1995 to 1998, Robert Throop attended The University of Texas at Austin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
