Roy T. has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. In 2014, they began their career as a Summer Research Student at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where they conducted a quality improvement survey in the gastroenterology clinic. Roy also worked as a Summer Research Student at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard, optimizing adeno-associated virus (AAV) vaccines for HIV. In 2015, they joined Bowdoin College's Department of Mathematics as a Calculus Tutor and Undergraduate Student Researcher, supporting students in calculus and conducting independent research on genomic DNA changes in Candida albicans.

In 2016, Roy became a Research Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital, working in the Cutaneous Biology Research Center and utilizing specialized mouse genetic engineering techniques.
