Before joining Telenor, Valentin worked as the Head of Fraud & Revenue Control at Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile - Globul. Valentin also gained experience as a Revenue Assurance Senior Specialist at Bulgarian Telecommunications Company & Vivacom and as a DB & System Support Expert at National Health Insurance Fund BULGARIA.
Valentin Tonev completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Business Administration and Management from The University of Sheffield in 2021. In 2017, they also attended the Strategy Execution Programme at INSEAD. In 2015, they completed the Customer Insights Programme from London Business School. Valentin holds a Master's degree in Finance from South-West University "Neofit Rilski" Blagoevgrad and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications from New Bulgarian University. Valentin also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Technologies from Sofia University of Telecommunications and Post in the years 2000-2003. Additionally, Valentin Tonev holds a certification called "Speak to Inspire" from BPP, which they obtained in February 2016.
