Simon Eliasen is a quantitative analyst with experience in the short-term power market, currently serving as a Partner and Quantitative Analyst at Yggdrasil since June 2023. In this role, Simon utilizes statistics, machine learning, and software engineering to research, design, and automate trading strategies. Additionally, prior to taking on responsibilities at Valhall from January to September 2024, Simon managed the trading desk for Yggdrasil's Japanese subsidiary. Simon's experience includes working as a Research Assistant in Deep Learning at Aalborg University, where Simon contributed to a survey on Deep Learning and Knowledge Graphs, and held positions as a Software Developer at Perfion and Sales and Marketing Responsible at uStepper. Simon holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, both obtained from Aalborg University.
