Ong Kian Min

Mr. Ong Kian Min was appointed to the Board on 1 October 2021. He currently chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of their Audit Committee and Nominating Committee.

Mr. Ong was an advocate and solicitor practicing as a consultant with Singapore law firm Drew & Napier LLC, which he joined in October 2000, until March 2019. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1988 and to the Singapore Bar the following year. In his more than 25 years of legal practice, he focused on corporate and commercial law such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, and corporate finance. In addition to his legal practice, he is a senior adviser of Alpha Advisory Pte. Ltd., a boutique financial and corporate advisory firm, and is also the founder of Kanesaka Sushi Private Limited which owns and operates three fine-dining Japanese restaurants in Singapore.

Mr. Ong was an elected member of parliament in Singapore from January 1997 to April 2011. In 1979, he was awarded the President’s Scholarship and the Singapore Police Force Scholarship. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) external degree from the University of London in England and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the Imperial College of Science & Technology, England.
