Devon M. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Most recently, they worked at Yield App as a Principal Blockchain Engineer, where they focused on developing a layer1 EVM compatible chain and designing protocol contracts for enhanced security and KYC. Prior to that, at Sweet, Devon wrote smart contracts for the NHL, created new contracts for various blockchains, and improved existing contracts. In a previous role at a Stealth Startup, Devon served as the Head of Web3/Senior Executive Vice President, managing and directing a development team and leading coding reviews. They also worked as a Lead Solidity Developer, testing smart contracts and developing dApps. Before entering the blockchain space, Devon worked at 2U as a Fintech Curriculum Engineer, writing curriculum content and coding challenges for universities, and as a Central Support Team Lead, providing support and feedback to team members. They also worked as a Web Development Tutor for students from various universities. Devon has experience beyond the tech industry, having served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota and as a Full Stack Engineer at the Georgia Institute of Technology. They have also held positions at The Home Depot, Lost-N-Found Youth, Peachford Behavioral Health, and AWARE Inc., where they gained experience in financial analysis, IT management, mental health support, and treatment service coordination.
