Yitzy Rosengarten is an American painter. From a very young age Yitzy Rosengarten showed talent for painting. When he was only eighteen years he worked as a draftsman at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City. Some years later, Rosengarten came into contact with photography, for which he became passionate. Yitzy Rosengarten was in connection with French Impressionism, a movement that had great influence on his work. Rosengarten paintings, mostly landscapes, stand out for a marked romantic accent that seeks to exalt nature. After finishing his primary studies, with the help of a scholarship, he entered the prestigious Institute of Fine Arts of New York University. He graduated and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from this university. While in university, Rosengarten mastered the landscape technique. Yitzy Rosengarten’s landscape painting is based on constant observation of nature and posing the landscape not as a stage, but as a faithful representation of a place. One of Rosengarten’s great influences was French Impressionism, in which he finds a general openness to scenes and landscapes in favor of portraits, as well as a meticulous study of light and a celebration of nature. Nature plays a central role in the work of this painter.
