Jana Krekic

Jana Krekic has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. In 2007, they began their career as a Translator for Svenska Kullagerfabriken AB. Jana then moved on to become a Translator and Attaché for Eurosong in 2008. That same year, they also began working as a Freelance Online Norwegian Teacher, teaching basic and advanced Norwegian and English to corporate employees and doctors. In 2011, they started working as a Norwegian Professional Translator for Independant Translators, where they wrote and re-wrote articles, blogs, press releases, and audio transcriptions. Jana also translated presentations for Serbian wind energy association and a Serbian company. In 2016, they began teaching Norwegian for Corporate Clients at Berlitz Virtual Classroom, and in 2017 they became a QA Linguist for Appen. In 2018, they founded and became the CEO of YLT Translations. In 2021, they became a Board Member for The Ecom Cooperative. Jana also worked as a Business Development Manager and Chief Operating Officer for MyTrendyPhone from 2008 to 2018.

Jana Krekic obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Scandinavian Languages and Literature; Literature from the University of Belgrade in 2008. Jana then obtained a Master's Degree in Scandinavian Languages and Literature from the same university in 2009. Prior to that, Jana attended Fourth Belgrade High school from 1998-2002. Additionally, they attended Mokranjac from 1998-2002, where they obtained a High School degree in Music. In 2017, Jana obtained the ProZ.com Certified PRO Network and Proz.com PRO certifications from ProZ.com, as well as the Translators without Borders certification from Translators without Borders.
