Olli Ojala is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental policy and management. Currently serving as a Senior Ministerial Adviser and Senior Specialist at the Ministry of the Environment of Finland since April 2020, Olli previously held the role of Senior Specialist within the same ministry from September 2018 to January 2020. Olli's background also includes leadership as the Head of Ecosystem Services Unit at the Finnish Environment Institute from April 2012 to December 2017 and serving as a Policy Officer at the European Commission DG Environment from April 2009 to April 2012. Early career experience includes working as a Planner at the Uusimaa Regional Environment Centre from April 2005 to April 2009. Olli holds a Specialist Qualification in Management from the Business College of Helsinki and a Master of Science degree in Biology with a focus on Botany from the University of Helsinki.
