Oona Riitala

Oona Riitala is a communications planner at the Ministry of the Environment of Finland, a position held since January 2023. Previously, Oona worked at the Regional State Administrative Agencies as a communications planner and at NRC Group Finland as a communications specialist, where responsibilities included internal and external communications, marketing, and brand management. Oona's early experience includes roles at Elisa, the Consulate General of Finland in New York, and the Academy of Finland, focusing on media relations, content production, and public diplomacy. Oona holds a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Helsinki and has also pursued studies in international relations, psychology, and marketing at prominent institutions.
