Tristan Stepnuk

Tristan Stepnuk, CPA, has a diverse and extensive work experience. Tristan began their career at the Olympic Oval as a Long Track Speed Skater from 2006 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Grant Thornton LLP as an Accountant and later became a Senior Accountant from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, Tristan became a part of the YMCA Calgary, where they held the position of Assistant Controller from April 2017 to January 2018. Tristan then served as the Controller from February 2018 to June 2021. Currently, Tristan is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for YMCA Calgary, overseeing a $70M operating budget and managing over a million square feet in buildings. Moreover, Tristan has also taken up a role as a Board Member for Speed Skating Canada, serving as the Treasurer/Director on the Board of Directors.

Tristan Stepnuk, CPA, obtained their Bachelor of Commerce - BCom degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Calgary in 2014. Tristan then pursued their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in Financial Reporting and Assurance from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), completing it in 2016. In 2017, they obtained their CPA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
