Michelle Becote-Jackson is the Chief Social Responsibility Officer at YMCA of Central Maryland. Michelle has been with the organization since 2007, and in their current role, they manage six YMCA associations in Maryland.

Michelle has been a driving force behind the YMCA's advocacy initiatives and social responsibility plans. Michelle has helped to resolve COVID-19 challenges by incorporating pandemic protocols and guiding five-year strategic planning. Michelle has also developed emergency childcare during closings for staff in coordination with association leaders.

In addition, Michelle has overseen the transformation of the historic Druid Hill YMCA into a modern facility that meets the needs of the community. Michelle has also launched associate resource groups for African American, Women, LGBTQA+, and Emerging Leaders.

Under Michelle's leadership, the YMCA of Central Maryland has delivered over 550K pounds of food and supplies to families, obtained $18M in funding from MacKenzie Scott for COVID-19 relief work, and acquired $2M from governor’s capital budget for lobbying efforts. In addition, they have increased volunteers by 30% and boosted in-kind dollars by 75% by reorganizing volunteer structure; as a result, the YMCA has raised over $1M.

Michelle Becote-Jackson has a Master of Science from The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School and a BA in Computer Science/Management from Goucher College.
