David Connell

David Connell has a extensive work experience, which includes serving as the Board Chair for Alliance of Massachusetts YMCAs since 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of President & CEO at YMCA of Central Massachusetts from 2012, where they also served as the Regional Executive Director & Organizational Advancement from 2012 to 2019. Before joining YMCA, they were the Executive Director/CEO at Montachusett Regional YMCA from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, Connell worked as a Senior Vice President at RBS Citizens Group from 2003 to 2007, and at Fleet Bank as a Senior Vice President from 1989 to 2003. Their career began as a VP at Shawmut Bank in 1988.

David Connell completed the Community Health Leadership Program at Morehouse School of Medicine - CHLP in 2013. David holds a MA degree in Divinity from the University of Cambridge, and a BS degree in Business Management from Lesley University. Additionally, they obtained certifications in CRT/AED from Red Cross in November 2012, Organizational Leader from YMCA of the USA in 2011, Leadership from Babson College in 2005, and is also a Notary of Public in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
