Nicky King, MPH, is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in community engagement and health promotion. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Diabetes and Heart Disease Management Section at the S.C. Department of Public Health since July 2021, Nicky also instructs group fitness classes at the YMCA of Columbia. Prior roles include Graduate Assistant for Healthy Carolina Initiatives at the University of South Carolina, where Nicky supported health promotion initiatives, and a COVID-19 Contact Tracer for Student Health Services. With a solid background in group fitness instruction and substance misuse prevention, Nicky's career reflects a commitment to health education and community wellness, supported by a Master of Public Health degree from the University of South Carolina.
