YMCA of Greater Boston
Maureen Layden is an experienced professional currently serving as a Yoga Instructor at Bear Dance Yoga since January 2021 and as a Group Exercise Instructor at the YMCA of Greater Boston since September 2015. Additionally, Maureen has a longstanding role as the Director of VA Medication Information Management/Medication Reconciliation at the Department of Veterans Affairs, a position held since December 2008. Previous medical staff positions include service at the VA Boston Healthcare System from 2011 to June 2022 and Boston Community Medical Group/BMC from January 2012 to June 2018. Maureen holds a Master of Public Health in Patient Safety & Quality Improvement from Dartmouth (2006-2008), a Doctor of Medicine from UMass Chan Medical School (1993-1997), and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Neuroscience, graduating cum laude from U.Mass.Amherst (1981-1986).
