Jamie Scaffidi is the Senior Vice President of Operations at the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids. Jamie has held operational leadership positions for 25 centers, a resident camp, 1.3 million square feet of assets, and a $137 million budget. Jamie has also mentored 7 District VPs and collaborated with the CEO and Board of Trustees on operations and facilities. In their previous position as the Chief Operating Officer at the YMCA of Greater Houston, they built and staffed the Mark Chapman YMCA, and oversaw the restoration and reopening of 24 YMCAs 9 days after Hurricane Harvey. Jamie has also overseen new construction and numerous multimillion-dollar renovations. In addition, they have served as interim CEO during an executive transition and raised fundraising by 26%.
Jamie Scaffidi has a Bachelors in Recreation Education from The Ohio State University. Jamie also has a Masters in Sports Management from the University of Kentucky. Jamie is certified from the YMCA of the USA (National Resource Office) in CEO Preparatory Institute, Executive Development Institute, and Executive Fundraising. Jamie is also certified from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Citizens Academy.
