Avice Chambers

Avice Chambers possesses extensive experience in youth development and nonprofit management, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Youth Development at the YMCA of Greater Houston since September 2017. Previously, Avice filled various leadership roles at the Harris County Department of Education from February 2010 to September 2017, including Assistant Director, where responsibilities encompassed program expansion, stakeholder engagement, grant management, and policy compliance. Earlier positions include Regional Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston and Marketing & Recruitment Specialist at Girl Scouts of Central Maryland. Avice holds a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
