Bill Barringer has extensive work experience in various roles within the YMCA organization. Bill started their career in 1974 as a Program Director & Camp Director at Montgomery YMCA, and subsequently worked as a Youth Director at Amarillo Family YMCA from 1978 to 1981. Bill then transitioned to the role of Branch Executive at Montgomery YMCA from 1981 to 1989. From 1984 to 1989, they served as a Program Specialist at YMCA of the USA. Following this, they were the Camp Grady Spruce Exec Director at YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas from 1989 to 1996. Bill then worked as an Associate General Director at Montgomery County Fmly Ymca from 1996 to 1999. Bill joined YMCA of Greenville in 1999 as VP Operations until 2012, when they became the Director of Facility Development. Finally, they retired from YMCA in July 2018.
Bill Barringer completed their high school education at Anniston High School from 1966 to 1968. Bill then went on to attend Auburn University from 1972 to 1977, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies.
