Jennifer Burns Thomas is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in internal and corporate communications, particularly within the supply chain sector at The Home Depot since January 2023. Previously, Jennifer held multiple roles within the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, including Chief of Staff from December 2017 to December 2022, where responsibilities included managing team operations, developing district communications, and advocating for public policy. Jennifer's career also includes positions as Executive Director of the Buckhead Business Association and a background in public affairs and government relations with Coca-Cola Enterprises and PhRMA. Additionally, Jennifer serves as a Group Exercise Instructor at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta since May 2018. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from The University of Georgia.

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is an association of volunteers, members and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body. We serve more than 300,000 individuals with 21 full facilities, six additional program only sites and four childcare locations. The Y provides more than $5.5 million annually in financial assistance to support more than 25,000 youth, teens and families. The Y offers programs that serve kids, adults and families at all stages of life.
