Katie Carstens began their work experience in 1990 as a Vice President of HR at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. Katie held this position indefinitely. In 2014, they retired and became self-employed.
Katie Carstens obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Political Science from the University of Washington between 1970 and 1974. Katie later pursued a Master of Education specializing in Recreation Management at Georgia State University from 1976 to 1981.

We serve more than 300,000 individuals with 21 full facilities, six additional program only sites and four childcare locations. The Y provides more than $5.5 million annually in financial assistance to support more than 25,000 youth, teens and families. The Y offers programs that serve kids, adults and families at all stages of life.
