Dawn Palmer-van Camp

Dawn Palmer-Van Camp has extensive experience in grant funding and program evaluation, currently serving as the Director of Institutional Giving and Public Support at the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit since June 2007. Responsibilities include overseeing $7 million in grant funding, collaboration with executive leadership, and managing relationships to enhance the organization's impact. Additionally, Dawn operates Bright Star Research LLC, offering grant writing and evaluation services to a variety of clients, including K-12 schools. Previous roles span academic program development and market research positions, with leadership in community initiatives such as the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest. Dawn holds degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice from The University of Akron and participated in Leadership Livingston.
