Karla Jessup has extensive experience in human resources, with a particular focus on strategic partnerships and program development. Karla most recently served as the Chief Administrative & Strategy Officer at the YMCA of Silicon Valley, where they redefined the HR function as a strategic business partner. Karla'sresponsibilities included overseeing HR initiatives such as recruiting, professional development, and regulatory compliance. Prior to this role, Karla worked at the YMCA of the Triangle, first as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and then as the Associate Vice President. During their time there, they led the central HR department and introduced the strategic partnership aspect of the HR Business Partner role. Additionally, they implemented a new HRIS system and established employee coaching programs. Karla also has experience as the Human Resources Director at Noble Oil Services, Inc., where they established the company's first HR department and optimized HR systems.
Karla Jessup, PHR, SHRM-CP holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Administration from Campbell University. Karla also possesses additional certifications including the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HRCI and the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM.
