Michael Garcia

Michael Garcia is the current Executive Director of Lighthouse/City YMCA at YMCA of Southern Arizona. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of Riverhouse Children's Center, the Senior Director of Aquatics at YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region, and the Executive Director of Child Care at YMCA of Greater Seattle.

Garcia has over 12 years of experience in leadership positions within the YMCA. Michael is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing plans to improve organizational effectiveness. Michael is an expert in child care programming, with a focus on early childhood education. Garcia is also a skilled fundraiser, and has cultivated relationships with key donors and partners to support their work.

Garcia is a passionate advocate for the YMCA mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under their leadership, the Lighthouse/City YMCA has seen increased membership and program participation, and has become a key resource for families in the Southern Arizona community.

Michael Garcia received their Bachelor's degree from Colorado College.

Their manager is Kurtis Dawson, President & CEO. They are on a team with Erika Diaz - Howlsclaw Family Child Care Center, RJ Bergman - Executive Director, Ott Family YMCA, and Kendra Whetton - Executive Director, Holscalw Family Child Care Center.
